4 أَثْكَلَتْ ذ A state of bereavement clave to her; (K;) namely, a woman: or she became in a state of bereavement. (TA.) -A2- أَثْكَلَهَا ا@للّٰهُ وَلَدَهَا God made her to be bereft of her child [by death]. (Msb, K.) And اثكلهُ ا@للّٰهُ أُمَّهُ God made him to be bereft of his mother [by death]. (S.)
