Steamer burnt.

New York, Dec. 17.
--The steamship John C. King. of the New York and Charleston line, took fire this morning, and now lies off in the stream, on fire from stem to stern.

New York, Dec. 18, P. M.--The steamer is still burning, and is almost completely destroyed. She is valued at $160,000, a part of which is insured. She is owned at Charleston and in this city.
