The box Executive

--The New Orleans Bulletin says, a year ago last spring expedition left Texas for the State of Durango, in Mexico, headed by one M. J. Box, consisting of about two hundred persons a hundred and twenty-five fighting men. It has proved a total failure. Mr. Box greatly deceived the party. Many of them died of small pox and other diseases, and but few of them ever returned to their homes in Texas. Box, it is said, has taken refuge among the Indians. He profiled great hi gs, and his performances were correspondingly small. One of the party who has returned--a Mr. Spiddle--says that there is in Durango one of the richest ten mines in the world, and it only requires capital, machinery and system to supply America with tin. If this be so, it is a fact of go at importance. There are very few tin mines in the world. All that we use is imported.
