Sent to their regiments.

--A number of Confederate soldiers, some of whom have been confined in the Confederate States Military Prison here, have lately been released and sent under guard to rejoin their respective regiments. A batch of them started a few mornings since for the Peninsula. A search would no doubt reveal a number of others cooped up in various holes and corners, whose services might be availed of in the present emergency. The experiment is worth trying. Speaking of delinquent soldiers, reminds us that we saw yesterday half a dozen or more fellows paddling through Bread street under guard, the charge against them being that they had refused to go with their regiments when ordered off on duty. Though by no means gifted with an extensive knowledge of military affairs, it seems to us that a little bread and water, judiciously applied, might make willing if not brave soldiers out of such gentry.
