the Stone-Wall Brigade re-enlisting for the War.

Winchester, Va., Feb. 12, 1862.

I notice in your issue of the 7th an article commending certain regiments from the far South for re-enlisting for the war. Let me give you a few items to show that the Virginia boys do not intend to leave their posts at this crisis. In the 2d Virginia regiment, 247; in the 4th, 296; in the 5th, 232; in the ‘"bloody 27th,"’ 341; and in the 33d, 221, have already re-enlisted for the war, and will in a few days return from their furloughs, ready to take the field. These boys all belong to Jackson's Stone-Wall Brigade, and I expect that in less than two weeks the entire command will be in for the war. There is a fine spirit existing. For The War.
