--The vote in the city on the adoption of the new Constitution, feets up about 500, nearly all of which were cast in favor of the instrument. The clause restricting suffrage to those who pay their taxes was also adopted by a like vote. Owing to the distraction of the public mind by events of daily occurrence, the interest manifested in the election was very inconsiderable.
