2 غَيَّمَ see 1. ― -b2- [Hence,] غيّم اللَّيْلُ, (K,) inf. n. تَغْيِيمٌ, (TA,) (tropical:) The night became like the غَيْم [or clouds]; (K;) became dark, and came like the clouds. (TA.) ― -b3- And غيّم الطَّائِرُ (assumed tropical:) The bird fluttered over one's head, not going to a distance; on the authority of Th: mentioned by IAar as with غين and تاء [evidently mistranscriptions for عين and ثاء: see عَيَّثَ]. (TA.)
