RASSVET Kuban.

Bosporan agricultural settlement of the 2d c. B.C.-1st c. A.D. 18 km NE of Anapa. Excavations since 1964 have uncovered a two-storied rectangular (16 x 11 m) farmhouse or a fortified tower. The main stone walls of the house were further strengthened by an attached secondary wall. In one of the two rooms in the house was a pottery kiln containing terracotta statuettes. Various agricultural tools were scattered around both rooms. Near the house was a Sindian cemetery of the 6th-4th c. in which most of the graves were stone boxes surrounded by cromlechs.
