^lĭquĭae (in the poets, also rellĭqu- ; cf. religio
I.init.), ārum (gen. sing. reliquiae, App. Apol. ap. Carm. p. 277, 13), f. relinquo, I. B. 1., the leavings, remains, relics, remnant, rest, remainder of any thing.
