（Ἰδριεύς) and Hidrieus (Ἱδριεύς). A king of Caria, brother of Mausolus (q.v.), who ascended the throne on the death of his brother's
widow Artemisia. His own widow, Ada, was allowed by Alexander the Great to retain the
government of Caria.
