Auto'medon
(
Αὐτομέδων), a son of Diores, was, according to Homer, the charioteer and companion of Achilles, whereas Hyginus (
Hyg. Fab. 97) makes him sail by himself with ten ships against Troy.
According to Virgil (
Aen. 2.476), he fought bravely by the side of Pyrrhus, the son of Achilles. (
