2 ضمّخهُ بِالطِّيبِ ذ , (S, A, Mgh, Msb,) inf. n. تَضْمِيخٌ; (S, A, K;) and ↓ ضَمَخَهُ , (ISd, TA,) aor. ضَمُخَ , (TK,) inf. n. ضَمْخٌ; (ISd, K;) He daubed, or smeared, (S, A, Mgh, Msb, K,) him, (S, A, Mgh, Msb,) or his body, (L, K,) with perfume, or some odoriferous or fragrant substance, (S, A, Mgh, L, Msb, K,) copiously, (L,) so that it seemed to drip. (L, K.) It is said in a trad., كَانَ يُضَمِّخُ رَأْسَهُ بِالطِّيبِ He [Mohammad] used to daub, or smear, his head copiously with perfume. (L.)
