Fire.

--The alarm of fire about 1 o'clock A. M., yesterday, was caused by the partial burning of a small frame building in the rear of Gary's barrel factory, corner of 6th and Cary streets. Considering the locality, the hour, and other circumstances, it is remarkable that it did not result in a disastrous conflagration; though the heavy rain falling at the time to some extent prevented the ignition of the wooden sheds and other property adjacent.
