The reported loss of the Louisiana and other vessels of the Burnside fleet is doubted at Old Point, as a dispatch was found in one of the Richmond papers, from Norfolk, stating that such a rumor was current in Baltimore. At Old Point no direct intelligence had been received from the fleet.
