Richmond Light Guard.

--Capt. James H. Pearce, of the Wise Legion, and Lieut. R. C. Nicholas, Jr., of this city, are making endeavors, which promise to be crowned with success, to recruit the Light Guard to even a larger number than it had prior to the disaster at Roanoke. One or two of its officers and several of its men were not present there, and are of course not bound by the parole exacted from those who were captured. They will form a nucleus around which the friends of Capt. Wallace can rally. The officers alluded to intend to make the Light Guard a crack company, and as respectable in numbers as it will be in discipline. After the company is raised, it is the desire of its friends to raise a battalion for special service. Capt. James H. Pearce has been in service since the war broke out, in Western Virginia and in North Carolina. The arms and accoutrements of this company will be of the best description.
