Another rumor.

There was a rumor on the streets yesterday that the enemy had attacked Gen. Beauregard at Island No.19, on the Mississippi, and that an engagement was going on. Upon tracing this rumor out, it was reduced to a single dispatch, which announced that the enemy was pressing the lines near New Madrid, and that a battle was expected at an early data. The greatest confidence exists in Gen. Beauregard's ability to resist the Yankee army.
