One of the Yankee prisoners, a fellow hailing from Johnstown, Penn., on his arrival here on Saturday gave a lad, for the purpose of getting change, a bogus ten dollar note, purporting to be issued by the C. S. Treasury Department. It was gotten up in Philadelphia, as appeared on examination. The man being identified, was afterwards sent to Castle Godwin, where, being searched, a large bundle of the trash was found on his person. Our law makes it death for a man to attempt to circulate counterfeit Treasury notes, and no doubt this ‘"Union soldier"’ will be brought to trial for the felony committed by him.
