SIA
or Osia Turkey.
Small town in Pisidia
near Karaot, 10 km NE of Dağ Nahiyesi; it is apparently
recorded by Hierokles in the entry Demousia, but is
otherwise unknown. The name, of which the termination
is uncertain, and site are proved by an inscription on
the spot. The ruins are picturesque, covering the W slope
of a low pine-clad hill, at the top of which is a stretch
of wall in excellent polygonal masonry with a small gate.
Many buildings are standing more or less complete, including a small building with an apse at its E end, and
another containing eight or nine straight rows of seats
with paving below them. At the foot of the hill are numerous built tombs, in good condition.
