ARNEAE

ARNEAE (Ἀρνεαί: Eth. Ἀρνεάτης), a small city of Lycia mentioned by Capito in his Isaurica. (Steph. s. v. Ἀρνεαί.) It is supposed to be at a place called Erness, in the interior of Lycia, about 36° 26′ N. lat. There are said to be remains there. (Spratt's Lycia, vol. i. p. 101, and the Map.)
