A.hatred,
1. felt towards another, “πρός τινα” D.18.36, Arist.Pol.1305a23; διὰ τὴν ἀ. τοῦ πάθους for it, ib. 1274a40.
2. felt by others towards one, enmity, odium, “ὁ πράξας τὴν ἀ. αὐτῶν δίκαιος φέρεσθαι” Antipho 3.4.2, cf. Pl.Ap.28a, D.3.13, etc.: in pl., enmities, Pl.Ap.23a, interpol. in D.9.64; θεοῖς δι᾽ ἀπεχθείας ἐλθεῖν to be hated by them, A.Pr.121 (lyr.); δι᾽ ἀ. γίγνεταί τι it becomes hateful, X.Hier.9.2; οὔτ᾽ ἐκείνου πρὸς χάριν οὔτ᾽ ἐμοῦ πρὸς ἀπέχθειαν
