A.without smoke, free from it, “σκέπηHp.Acut.65; not smoking, making no smoke, “πῦρThphr.Ign.71; θυσία . an offering but no burnt offering, Luc.Am.4; so a poem is called “Καλλιόπης . θύοςAP6.321 (Leon.): —ἄκαπνα γὰρ αἰὲν ἀοιδοὶ θύομεν we sacrifice without a fire of our own, i.e. live at others' expense, Call.Fr.53P.
