Pendleton, George Hunt 1825-1889

Statesman; born in Cincinnati, O., July 25, 1825. Devoting himself to law and politics, he became in 1857 a Democratic member of Congress from Ohio, and continued in the House until 1865. During President Cleveland's first administration, 1885-89, Senator Pendleton represented the United States at Berlin. He died in Brussels, Belgium, Nov. 24, 1889.
