Perilous Passage of the Maid of the Mist. The steamer Maid of the Mist passed down through the rapids at Niagara Falls on the afternoon of the 6th inst., under the suspension bridge, with two men in charge. She lost her smoke-stack below the bridge, but other wise is apparently safe. There was great excitement at the time.
