Several women in Lemberg, Gatticia, have recently been flogged by the military authorities for insulting sentinels. The London public houses would, if placed side by side, form a line 32 miles long, allowing at feet frontage to each. A Jerseyman was lately arrested for flogging a woman, and excused therefore by saying he was near sighted, and thought it was his wife. A child died lately in London of marasmus, produced by swallowing a half penny a year before.
