Salpensa

A Latin colony in Hispania Baetica, between Hispalis (Seville) and Gades (Cadiz). In 1851, an important inscription was discovered here containing part of a code of laws given to the place in the reign of Domitian (about A.D. 81-84). See the C. I. L. ii. 1963-64; Bruns, Font. 136.
