SI´NGILI

Eth. SI´NGILI or SINGILIS, a town of Hispania Baetica. (Plin. Nat. 3.1. s. 3.) It lay near Castillon or Valsequilla, and D'Anville (i. p. 39) identifies it with Puente de don Gonzalo. Concerning its ruins and inscriptions, see Florez, Esp. Sagr. ix. p. 42, 12.20; Morales, p. 21.
