καὶ τυραννοῦσι, closer definition of ἄρχουσι.

τοὺς ... σῴζοντας ... καὶ ... ὄντας , accusative of the combined object, with τοὺς μὲν and τοὺς δὲ in distributive apposition. The words refer to the people of Oreus in general.

ἑαυτούς, the Macedonian party, direct reflexive for indirect, as in sup. § 57, inf. § 63.

καθαρῶς, ‘purely,’ i.e. without taint of corruption.
