‘ The Hardin Relm who is reported to be moving down Green river with a force of from two to four thousand rebels, is a son of ex Gov. John L. Helm, lately President of the Louisville and Nashville railroad. This Helm's wife is a half-sister of Mrs. Abraham Lincoln, Mrs. Lincoln has a full brother, Dr. R. C. Todd, at Richmond, who had the honor of being jailor to old Abe's soldiers captured at Bull Run. Mrs. Lincoln has also a brother, Samuel Todd, who is a lieutenant in the rebel army in Virginia. She has also a half brother, Alexander, who is now in the South also hunting for his ‘"rights."’ Two half sisters of Mrs. Lincoln are married to Southern gentlemen, also secessionist. The younger part of the family, until within a year past, resided on their farm five miles from this place.
