The Price of Butter.

--A negro named Henry, employed by the Central Railroad Company, was punished with 39 lashes yesterday, for stealing two posts of butter from a freight car Butter is cheaper at 50 cents a pound than at the expense of corporal punishment, which is very apt to be visited upon colored people who engage in pilfering operations.
