The young Guard.
--We invite the attention of young men who desire to serve their country, to the advertisement of
Capt. Chas. P. Rady, commander of the above named corps, now stationed on the
Peninsula.
The company has been diminished in numbers by details of mechanics to work in the
Government shops, and it is very desirable that the deficiency should be promptly supplied.
It is almost needless for us to say anything of the reputation of a company so well known here, but we can confidently assure persons disposed to enlist, that they will find in
Captain Rady all the qualities necessary to win the esteem of those under his command.
The term of service is short, and embraces the probable period of drafting should that become necessary.
There are many able-bodied men in this community who would make splendid soldiers, and no better chance than the present will ever-offer.
