8 احتذى ذ He wore, or put on, a sandal, or sandals. (S, TA.) Hence the saying, خَيْرُ مَنِ ا@حْتَذَى النِّعَالَ [The best of those who have worn sandals]. (TA.) A rájiz says, “ كُلَّ الحِذَآءِ يَحْتَذِى الحَافِى الوَقِعْ
