Substitution of word from parallel passage

Often the substituted word comes from a parallel passage, which was in the mind of the scribe as he was writing. In Propertius ii. 1. 58: “solus amor morbi non habet artificem”, has been written non amat artificem, through a reminiscence of i. 2. 8: “nudus amor formae non amat artificem.” (On this error see also ch. i. § 14.）
