To be Pardoned.

--The Portland (Me.) Advertiser learns that ‘John W. Moody, of that city, mate of an American ship, and who is in prison in England, under sentence of death for killing a seaman at Shields, will be pardoned by the Queen. An effort to present a petition to the Prince of Wales in his favor was unsuccessful, but the Duke of Newcastle promised to do something about it on his return to England.’
