Arrival of the Steamer Glasgow.

--The steamer Glasgow, from Liverpool on the 7th inst., arrived at New York, Tuesday. Her advices have been mostly anticipated by the steamer Vanderbilt, but her latest advices, via Queenstown, bring some additional intelligence:

The steamer Nova Scotian arrived out on the 8th.

After the fall of Gaeta Garibaldi, it is said, will retire to private life for a time.

Father Gavazzi was threatened in his own house at Naples by a crowd who cried, ‘"down with Gavazzi."’

The official result of the Sicilian election on the question of annexation stands — ayes 432,054; no 6,067.

Fifteen thousand Neapolitan troops have been arrested in the Papal States, and would be disarmed.

The Liverpool Cotton market closed steady at Friday's quotations. Sales of the two days, including Thursday, 20,000 bales, of which 6,000 were taken by speculators.

Breadstuffs closed dull. Sugar closed buoyant and slightly higher

Consols closed at 93 ½ @93 ¼.

The Bank rates have been advanced to 4 ½.
