Attempted Assassination.

--Louis Larome, the jealous Frenchman, who was arrested in New York on Wednesday last, for sending an Italian, named P. A. Orzall, a challenge to fight a duel, attempted to assassinate his rival on Monday night, by shooting him in the breast. The occurrence happened at the workshop of the latter, where Larome went by stealth, and apparently acting with deliberation, produced his weapon and fired, without speaking a word. He then fled, but was arrested a few hours later. The wounded man is not expected to survive the injury.
