Dead.

--A correspondent of the Alexandria Sentinel, writing from Westmoreland county, Va., Nov. 14th, says that George T. Brown, of Pickstown, died on the 23d ult., aged 51. Under General Jackson's administration he went to Algiers as private secretary to Major Henry Lee, and remained in that country and France seven years, a part of the time acting as U. S. Consul.
