It seems that no surgeons except of the allopathic school of practice, will receive commission in the United States Army. Protests have been made against this course by leading practitioners of other schools of medicine. On the night of April 28th, the ‘"Indian Reserve Bank," ’ at Kokomo, Indiana, was entered, the iron safe opened — probably with the aid of powder — and $11,400 taken there from. Judge O. N. Ogden. once a distinguished citizen of Louisiana, a gentlemen of high endowments, great eloquence, and many noble traits, died in Genoa, Italy, on the 15th of April last. There is a chicken in the poultry yard of Mr. Thomas F. Crume, of Nelson county, Ky., which has four legs, four natural feet, two distinct heads and beaks, and two neck bones.
