--Jerry Daily was arraigned before the Recorder yesterday, for drunkenness and disorderly conduct on Sunday. Something had played sad Havre with the beauty of Daily's countenance. It never had much, but what little it could boast had been pretty effectually knocked out of it. In answer to the question what he had to say for himself, he candidly said, ‘"I was shrunk yer anner."’ He excused himself for the slight indiscretion by mentioning the fact that he had enlisted. The Recorder on hearing the statement and ascertaining the name of his commanding officer, sent Daily below to be called for.
