Correspondence of the Richmond Dispatch.
military spirit in the Old North State.

Charlotte C. H., May 26.
A fine, athletic body of troops from Halifax county left here this morning under the command of Capt. Collins, who is a brave and daring little fellow. Truly the people of Halifax have cause to be proud of the many gallant soldiers they so willingly furnish to the Southern Army, and who are ready, ever and anon, to go wherever duty calls them. Our noble old county, Charlotte, has sent forth three of the best drilled and best equipped companies that can be found in the State--not a coward among them. Luola.
