There are also, up to date , 564 Confederate soldiers who have obtained land warrants under Act No. 116 of 1886, entitling them to 160 acres of land.

In relation to the names of surgeons who served in the Confederate army, I have been informed that so far as the Army of Northern Virginia, you can have the names of the officers at New Orleans.
There has been no record kept of the Army of Tennessee, unless Colonel A. J. Lewis can inform you.
