Rules for the Assembly.
Nov. 18, 1808, at the Meeting of the Committee of arrangements the following rules were drawn up for the regulations of the Medford Assembly.
1st.—No person to be admitted as a subscriber who does not belong to the town.
2nd.—Each subscriber shall be entitled to a ticket for himself and for a number of Ladies not exceeding three —subscribers tickets to be issued for the season.
3d.—Each subscriber shall be entitled to one disposable Gentlemens ticket at each assembly for which he shall be answerable to the managers at four dollars each, and any Gentleman so admitted shall have the privilege of introducing one lady, for whom he shall receive a ticket from the managers on application.
4th.—The managers are authorized at their discretion to present Honorary tickets to public characters.
5th.—No gentleman to be introduced under twenty-one years of age.
