The late Massage in St. Louis.

--The St. Louis Republican says that the massacre by the Hessians in that city commenced immediately on the accidental discharge of a gun by a soldier. The Federalists became frightened, and began an indiscriminate fire without orders. ‘"The slaughtered fell in every direction. The firing only ceased when the vicinity was deserted, except by the dead and wounded. Seven were killed. Some were literally torn to pieces by Minnie balls. The firemen are engaged washing the blood from the street, which presents the appearance of a slaughter-house floor."’
