Confederates in Canada.

--A letter written at a hotel in Montreal says:

‘ This house is filled with Southern families--Mr. Southern of Va., former President of the Bank of the Republic; Mr. Westfield, formerly of Mobile; F. P. Corbin of Georgia, though residing for the last 20 years in Paris; Captain Magruder, brother of the General; J. C. Brune, secession member of the last Maryland Legislature, and upon whose head a price has been set by the Federal Oligarchy; Messrs. Dugan & Meeker, of New Orleans; and several sympathizers from the Northern States. There is a Mr. Young in the city, who has a brother in Augusta. A great many families have passed through here on their way to Europe.

The opinion here is, that France and England will soon put an end to the war. God grant it may be so.
