--Sterling S. Hop kins, a resident of Crawford, Russell county, Ala., was found dead in his field a few days since, under circumstances which indicate suicide.
He was found in a sitting posture, with a handkerchief tied round his neck, twisted tightly by means of a pine knot fastened in the handkerchief at the back of his neck, by which means it is supposed he strangled himself to death.
