Right Rev. H. C. Lit D. D.

--Bishop Lay preached twice on Sunday last to his old congregation, to their great gratification and we trust, ‘"spiritual' edification."’ We would have been pleased to have obtained his consent to publish his morning sermon on the text ‘"The Lord God Omnipotent Relgneth."’ in which he set forth the duties of the Christian patriot of the present day ‘"like apples of gold in pictures of silver."’ --Huntsville (Ala,) Democrat.
