Aj. 1376 “ἀγγέλλομαι ... εἶναι φίλος,” “I offer friendship.” Eur. has thus used ἐξαγγ. even where metre permitted the more usual ἐπαγγέλλομαι: Eur. Heraclid. 531 “κἀξαγγέλλομαι ι θνῄσκειν,” I offer to die.
