Found guilty of murder in the second degree.

--The jury in the case of John Walthall, on trial before Judge Lyons for the murder of Wm. Hamilton in August, 1861, have found him guilty of murder in the second degree, and ascertained his term of imprisonment at 18 years in the penitentiary. The prisoner has been sentenced by the Judge and taken to his future abode. He came from Amelia county, Va.
