--The WinchesterRepublican, of the 29th ult., says: ‘
On Tuesday last the extreme penalty of the law was inflicted upon private James A. Milter, for mutiny and attempting to take the life of Capt. Henderson of the Jefferson Cavalry.
In conformity with his sentence, he was shot by a file of men detailed from Capt. Henderson's company, and died without a struggle. ’
