[885] Δίκας ἀφόβητος not fearing Justice: cp. 969 ἄψαυστος ἔγχους, not touching a spear. The act. sense is preferable only because class. Greek says φοβηθεὶς τὴν δίκην, not φοβηθεὶς ὑπὸ τῆς δίκης: the form of the adj. would warrant a pass. sense: cp. Soph. Trach. 685ἀκτῖνος ... ἄθικτον.” With ἄφοβοςSoph. Aj. 366ἀφόβητος cp. ἀταρβήςSoph. Trach. 23ἀτάρβητοςSoph. Aj. 197).
