Mr. Sparrowgrass recently joined the Home guard at Yonkers, New York, and said in a speech that “it is understood that the Homo Guard is not to go to the wars, and not to leave Yonkers, except in case of invasion.”
This is as good as the old story of the “Bungtown riflemen,” an Ohio military company, whose by-laws consisted of two sections, namely:--
